Region I Clubs have worked extremely hard the past two years
on membership retention and have had a huge increase in membership.
The Rio Colorado Club had a membership luncheon each year
with great success.
Both Clubs have hosted excellent speakers and candidates,
many on the state level.
The YCRW and RCRW have many members who serve as Precinct
Committeewomen. They
also have members who volunteer at the Republican Headquarters and
for the past ten years have had a booth at the annual Yuma County
Fair registering voters, getting candidate petitions signed and
passing out information on their clubs.
The Region I Clubs have had good representation at the AzFRW
state meetings and have participated in the Caring for America
project and several club projects.
A Candidate Forum was hosted by RCRW, assisted by YCRW, for
statewide candidates in 2010.
It was well attended and AzFRW President Leona Johnston was
in attendance.
RCRW continues to work on their club scrapbook.
YCRW is working hard to endow their third Republican Women
Scholarship. They will
begin selling tickets to raffle a patriotic quilt, afghan and
patriotic basket in September.
The drawings will be held in December at their annual
Christmas party.
RCRW will be having their annual Christmas party in December
with President Leona Johnston as their guest speaker.
We need to all work together to elect good Republicans.
