The Summer Report

It’s the election season!   We of the Federation are busy working for the Republican Candidates with Brunch’s’, Lunch’s, Dinner’s, and Special Events to present candidates to our membership, the public and guests this is what we do.

This election is keeping us all very busy and we have had the pleasure of hearing from many great candidates for local office as well as those running for state offices.  The women of HARW managed to take a break for a presentation by William Schaeck, Community Relations Officer of the Border Patrol.  Since 1070 passed, the border issue is hot this summer!

Region III Republican Women continue to move forward recruiting new members, obtaining contributions for “Caring for America,” setting up contributions for education scholarships, school supplies, and are very visible in our communities.

GCRW

The Graham County RW do not hold summer meetings, however the individual members continue to be active in our community with petition signatures, voter registrations, and attending the Graham County GOP Republican meetings.  They have been instrumental in organizing and turning out voters for candidates though their “summer down time.”

Shifting gears, now that he rush of getting signatures for good Republican candidates is finally over, it is on to victory for the GOP in November!  A huge “THANK YOU!” shout out goes to all our hardworking Republican women and the Precinct Committeemen who got our candidates on the ballot!  As a candidate for the Arizona Legislature, I can tell you just how much Federation Women, and the ladies of Region III are appreciated!  Republican Women are the true backbone of the Republican Party!  We need to recruit more hardworking women who share our strong Republican values.  It is the grassroots efforts of the Republican Women, that will restore a Republican majority this Fall in both Phoenix and Washington DC as well!

Republican women have a special place in our communities.  Region III produces great newsletters keeping our membership informed of current events at the local, state and national levels.  Our Region III clubs have participated in “Tea Parties” in various locations in the community and their signs are great.  Region III Women are making a difference!

HARW

HARW is looking forward to and are planning for their 50th birthday this September.  They are hosting charter members for the birthday bash and we’re sure those founding members will be amazed at how much they’ve grown!  I’m sure there’ll be some funny stories to tell too.  As part of their Caring for America project, there’ll be a representative from a local hospitality house that provides members of the military a place for relaxation, meals and "time away" speak.  Region III membership is proud of our men and women in the military and is always seeking ways to support what they do for us.

Wayne Perryman was the featured speaker at HARW’s successful fundraiser this past Spring, and the ladies continue their popular 50/50 and a raffle at each meeting.  The club also collected donations and funds to support the Republican Headquarters and a local women's shelter.  The Ft. Huachuca food locker is also a recipient of their generous support.  They’ve found that  this year, with the “Change” brought about by this new Democrat Administration in Washington, there seems to be a greater need then they’ve seen in previous times .

HARW has updated their bylaws into a very neat and concise format that is very easy to read and understand.  HARW has also developed a new members packet containing information about their club for distribution to prospective members.
