Congratulations,
Nancy Arnold, Member of Lincoln RW has been invited to be a member of the NFRW MELP/Literacy Committee. She will be in Charleston introducing her book to NFRW members from all over the country. Congratulations, Nancy!
Congratulations, Rae Chornenky was elected the NFRW 1st VP at the NFRW Spring Board of Directors meeting in Oklahoma City.
That resulted in an interesting election as someone then had to be
elected to take Rae's position as 2nd VP. Patt Parker of Maryland,
currently Member at Large was elected. Then someone had to be elected
to the vacated Member at Large position. Jo Mitchell of New Mexico was
elected. The voting then stopped. The reason for this unusual election
was the resignation of 1st Vice-president Joyce Smith because of
critical health issues. Joyce was the creator of the One Plus One
membership program and the New Generations outreach program. She is in
our thoughts and prayers!
We are so proud of Rae! We've already begun the Rae for NFRW President
campaign for the 2011 Convention in Kansas City.
